Fear
1st-Level Enchantment
Casting Time: Action
Range: 60 feet
Components: V
Duration: (C) 1 minute
Target. One creature you can see within range.
Saving Throw. Target makes a Wisdom saving throw.
Failure. The creature drops whatever it is holding and becomes Frightened for the duration. While Frightened by this spell, the creature must take the Dash action and move away from you by the safest available route on each of its turns, unless there is nowhere to move.
Success. No effect.
Ending the Spell. If the creature ends its turn in a location where it doesn't have line of sight to you, the creature can make a Wisdom saving throw. On a successful save, the spell ends for the creature.
Special. Constructs and undead are immune to this effect.
At Higher Levels.
- 2nd level or higher: You can target one additional creature for each slot level above 1st. The creatures must be within 30 feet of each other when you target them.
- 3rd level or higher: You may instead target all creatures within a 30-foot cone that originates from you. The size of the cone increases by 10 feet for each spell slot above 3rd.
