December 22nd

Aurore embraced her son as he was returned to her, and Ailen assured her that he was okay aside from scrapes and bruises. Aurore then turned to the party to thank them as she took Symma’s hand and asked what had happened to Ruven Duskmere.

Symma simply assured her that she didn’t need to worry about him any longer. Aurore’s jaw tensed as she recognized the weight of the statement, and she simply expressed she was glad that justice had been served.

Aurore Astravar says: You can inform your sister she will have my full support in the election. If the suramar that she would build would be filled with people who will take action, then perhaps she is what we need. I’ll speak to others and see if I convince them as well. I’ll inform them of what happened here.
Rak'Symma says: Especially if Stelleris was in bed with Duskmere… it might be worth mentioning.
Aurore Astravar says: You think he may have known?
Rak'Symma says: I know they are close, and Ruven had Duskwatch at his disposal.
Aurore Astravar says: If you could find proof, that would be a windfall, but even so, planting the possibility may prove to be useful. But you all my gratitude. Send my regards to your sister. And Anarys, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It’s for the best I don’t know what actually happened… but you saved my son, and I won’t forget that.

Final goodbyes were said to Ailen, and Aurore told them all to get their wounds properly attended to before she bid them farewell and went to dote on her son.

Meanwhile, Nyxxa returned to the Duskmere estate and she was greeted by Silgryn, who was able to give her clearance to go wherever she was trying to get to. She found the lord of the house, Randeth Duskmere, as he was leaving his study, and he asked her if she had been able to find his son.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I assume you hadn’t heard the news?
Randeth Duskmere says: Silgryn just returned. I presume he was going to tell me. He… didn’t surrender, did he?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: No. He didn’t survive the battle.

Randeth closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

Randeth Duskmere says: It was him, wasn’t it? The sickness…

Nyxxa nodded.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: He was using one of the succubi in his employ to drain you of your life essence.
Randeth Duskmere says: I had wondered… after my recovery, something about the way he took the news. I didn’t think anything of it, but after this… if he was willing to strike his own brother, I had wondered if he had found some way to curse me. Some sorcery the healers wouldn’t notice. Yet I still find myself grieving his loss…
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: He was still your son, no matter what he’s done.
Randeth Duskmere says: I suppose you’re right. But regardless I have you to thank. If it was not for you, I would have lost two sons instead of one. So thank you for making sure he could not hurt anyone else.

Nyxxa said she was simply sad Reydan got pulled into the matter, but he had a good head on his shoulders, and Randeth agreed he felt he would make a good heir if that was what he chose. Nyxxa then asked the lord if he needed anything, which prompted a sad, tired chuckle.

Randeth Duskmere says: Would you mind just sitting with me for a moment?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Of course.

Randeth sat down on one of the sofas and just cried as he was comforted by Nyxxa. He thanked her, and she admitted it was the least she could do for infiltrating his house. Randeth asked for who she had infiltrated House Duskmere, and she explained she did not agree with the plans the Legion had for the city, and there had also been behaviors directed at the workers of Willowy Wisp that caused her to find reason to follow up with Ruven Duskmere. She explained the entire story, and Randeth said he would gladly reimburse those at the Willowy Wisp thrice over for the duress Ruven had caused. He also said that he would inform her if anything came up in the investigation about him.

Randeth also offered to allow Nyxxa to check in on Reydan, as he had been moved to his room and was stable, but ultimately he likely wouldn’t be able to rest without news of Anarys. Nyxxa agreed, and she swifty assuaged Reydan’s worries and assured him that Anarys was back home.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: That was very brave of you.
Reydan Duskmere says: Brave. That’s one word for it. What about Ruven? Did you stop him?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: He didn’t survive the encounter. He wouldn’t go down without a fight.
Reydan Duskmere says: Oh… huh. I… you don’t say. Heh, I don’t think I know how to feel about that right now. That was him, right? That was really him?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Do you want me to walk you through what happened?
Reydan Duskmere says: Yeah, I think so.

Reydan got increasingly angry as Nyxxa retold the story, and he then became frustrated that he hadn’t noticed anything Ruven was doing, but Nyxxa assured him there was no reason for him to have known any of it. He asked if his altercation with his brother helped, and Nyxxa also assured him it did, and that ultimately the fact Ruven was willing to silence his own brother was a weapon Reydan could wield, she just advised him to be careful with it.

Nyxxa told him that he should rest, and Reydan agreed, and was asleep before she left the room.

Ly’leth met the group for a debriefing when they returned and she mused they all seemed to have been quite busy.

Ly'leth Lunastre says: I heard you took a bit of a trip, and not to the Gilded Markets. A warehouse being thrown several hundred feet in the air? Demons? Embezzlement of the Grand Magistrix’s resources? Seems there was quite a party downtown and I missed it. What a shame.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Technically we were only reacting.
Arthak Saurfang says: We can pen you an invitation to the next one.

Ly’leth chuckled and congratulated them on a job well done, as she only had one major competitor now, and Ailen had also been seemingly saved.

Ly'leth Lunastre says: You saved his life. There was no telling what Ruven would have done. The city will be better without him, but now is the fun part. We have two days until the election, and while you all deserve the rest, my work is only just beginning.

Nyxxa had flipped through the memories she had absorbed from Ruven’s soul, and she fell upon a brief meeting with a woman she did not recognize. She told Ruven not to speak, but only listen, and listen well.

Mysterious Woman says: There’s going to be a formal announcement and the election process will begin in two days. The election is three days later. You have a week to play your part.
Ruven Duskmere says: My part?
Mysterious Woman says: Yes. Make sure things go according to plan. If they do, you will be rewarded. But you must play your part. Make sure she doesn’t win. Do you understand? You may speak.
Ruven Duskmere says: Yes. I understand.

He grit his teeth.

Mysterious Woman says: Good. Then begin your preparations, and don’t get yourself killed. You’re far too useful, so don’t get sloppy.

The woman stood and left him. The woman was a nightborne, and she wore a particular cowl and scarf that covered part of her face. She had weapons beneath her cloak, and her hair was long, dark black, and worn in a tight braid.

Nyxxa used her illusion magic to show the woman to Ly’leth, who furrowed her brow. She said she didn’t recognize the woman, but it seemed she was using some sort of illusion magic. Either way, she did not think they were with house Stelleris.

As Nyxxa returned to the memories, she found that Ruven was very angry and was trying to meet with Stelleris, but couldn’t manage it. The role was playing was to strictly draw votes away from Ly’leth, and he was never supposed to win. But at some point, his goal shifted to actually winning, a concept likely planted by some of the succubi during one of his angry outbursts.

However, it seemed he had found zero information about the mysterious woman.

Rak’Symma went to visit Anarys, who seemed completely uninterested in visitors until Symma announced herself, which then turned into excitement. They were immediately concerned about how injured Symma appeared to be, and Symma asked them if they knew what happened.

Anarys had not, but they were too focused on ensuring she was alright. Symma explained it had been a very long day and she had needed Anarys to see what the day had wrought.

Symma asked them to sit and listen, and Anarys immediately did so as the harpy detailed the entire accounts of the day. Anarys was completely shocked that Ruven had just kidnapped her right off the street and that he had turned on his own brother.

Anarys Lunastre says: Gods… they just… why would he do that? That was his own brother! I know they haven’t gotten along, but to try and kill him? It doesn’t make any sense!
Rak'Symma says: It’s all because they didn’t want your sister to win this election. But this… is what we were here to help circumvent. And it goes deeper than Ruven.
Anarys Lunastre says: What do you mean?
Rak'Symma says: He wasn’t working alone. I don’t think a man like him has the brains to operate alone.

Anarys laughed nervously and asked who he was working with, which Symma confirmed she didn’t know, but it was the lengths he was willing to go.

Rak'Symma says: No one else stopped him, and he is not a discrete man.
Anarys Lunastre says: Did he think she would have just been alright with all that!?
Rak'Symma says: I don’t know, but this is what the Legion does, Anarys.

Anarys sat into their chair.

Rak'Symma says: They gave power to people to do things like this. And Elisande let them in and treats them like royalty. I’ve seen them everywhere. From the menagerie to a private tour of the vineyards… they’ve been given free reign of your city. Even if Elisande was under duress with a blade to her throat… she’s not fighting for you. She’s been throwing you out of the city where you wither, die, or worse.
Anarys Lunastre says: But maybe she has to! Maybe she doesn’t know! If it’s as bad as you say–
Rak'Symma says: I have a very hard time believing a woman like her has no idea what’s going on.
Anarys Lunastre says: So what does this mean?
Rak'Symma says: How heavy handed do you want my answer to be?
Anarys Lunastre says: I don’t know…

Symma got to her feet and sat next to Anarys on their bed, draping her wing over their shoulders.

Anarys Lunastre says: I don’t know. I don’t know what answer I want.
Rak'Symma says: I’ll keep them short then. Your sister wants to see things change into something hopefully better than this. No more exiles. Get Suramar back on a footing that can withstand the outside world. Your father died for that belief, because he knew it had to change.
Anarys Lunastre says: So it’s… so it’s all been true this whole time. Everything she said.
Rak'Symma says: I want to believe Suramar can be better. It’s something I’ve been struggling with since I’ve been here. Because last the Legion came… they ran. And they hid. And I understand the need to survive. The want to sequester oneself and hide away. But no one can hide forever, and as the world changes, so must we. I told you that I lost someone, and my only goal is ensuring a world is still standing when they come back to me.
Anarys Lunastre says: You’re… you’re so… how do you do it? How are you so brave? This is… it could have been me! I know some magic, but…
Rak'Symma says: The city of Suramar now thinks you have more magic than you might.

Anarys laughed nervously again.

Anarys Lunastre says: I’d be dead… and you’re still fighting for a city you don’t even know if you can believe in! For ungrateful ignoramuses! Like me! And you’re still going! How! How do you do it?
Rak'Symma says: I don’t let fear stop me. If there are two things I know, it’s that the sun will rise and so will the moon and they chase each other across the sky and bring upon a new day. So I rise with them, because they have been fighting far longer than I have.
Anarys Lunastre says: You understand how crazy that sounds, right?
Rak'Symma says: Not to me. The sun and the moon have been the closest I’ve had to family for a while. I care not for material things because I have all the stars in the sky.
Anarys Lunastre says: That’s really beautiful. I feel like I can read that in a poem and probably cry about it.
Rak'Symma says: No one likes having their world turned upside down. I know it’s a lot. And I know Suramar is all you’ve ever known, but there’s an entire world out there, Anarys, if you’re willing to see it.
Anarys Lunastre says: I… need to think about everything. Like my sister and…
Rak'Symma says: You can take the time you need, but the war won’t stop. And you, at leat, I don’t want getting caught up in it. You’ll have three options. Fight, run, or be paralyzed. But if you stand still, I don’t know if you’ll make it. And if you run… I hope you get somewhere safe. And if you fight, I hope you’ll fight with me.
Anarys Lunastre says: I’m really glad it was you. I think you’re a better me than I am… but I’ll try to work on that.
Rak'Symma says: The wonderful thing about life is that you can grow.

Anarys sat and started to cry for a while while Symma sang a song that she had written specifically for them.

December 23rd

Over food the next day, Nyxxa got Sol’s attention, and then she waxed over her words for a moment.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: When you were… doing the magic, is what happened what you intended?
Sol'chi says: Not entirely, no! My plan was that most of the room was filled with enemies, the hostage would be in the corner and had a decent chance of grabbing something, and there were two of you who could help him and I believed in you to do so, but I did have some fear when I saw him fly upward. But I’m glad to see my trust in you paid off!
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: You gave me a fright.
Sol'chi says: Yeah, sometimes I forget the plan in my head doesn’t get communicated through the link!
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: There’s also the saying not every plan survives the battlefield. You are extremely powerful, Sol, and sometimes I fear you do not realize your own strength when you do what you do.
Sol'chi says: Ah, you would be right. I probably should not have gotten this strong this quickly, but… ah. I just have to be more careful with my spells. Which is definitely my weakness when it comes to magic. Sometimes I act before figuring things out. But I try to do my best.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: They also say with great power comes great responsibility. There are moments where making a split second decision is a strength, just… perhaps if I were to say you have a weakness, it is sometimes not really thinking things through… but I know your heart is in the right place. I remember the one time we had a fight it was for a similar reason.
Sol'chi says: Ah. Yeah. I… don’t have that many destructive spells, but…
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Now we’ve seen what it can do, but perhaps it may be wise to treat the world as more fragile moving forward in the wake of your immense power.
Sol'chi says: I will… try to remember that. And how fragile some people can be.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I also don’t think you’d want us to be working around you instead of with you. Right?
Sol'chi says: Yeah. I was grateful for your input during that fight…

Nyxxa assured him that she loved him.

Meanwhile, Symma flagged Arthak over and expressed that she owed him an apology, but she also didn’t want him to take the words next the wrong way.

Rak'Symma says: I expected too much of you, and that was my fault.

She offered a bittersweet smile.

Arthak Saurfang says: I did not mind. One way or another, you will have found out what I can be and what I cannot. I take no offense in that.
Rak'Symma says: I will take your advice, Arthak, but I have had to learn I cannot get comfort from you.
Arthak Saurfang says: That is a currency I do not trade.
Rak'Symma says: That has become clear. But, one other thing, unrelated, why were you covered in the blood of the Earthmother?
Arthak Saurfang says: I can explain that. Though first, I appreciate the apology, but if I’m being honest that is… I bear no ill feeling about that. But what you said before about my mating…
Rak'Symma says: Words that were callous and out of place.
Arthak Saurfang says: I understand I pushed you. And I did not take those words personally then, but I had hoped for an apology sooner.
Rak'Symma says: So did I.
Arthak Saurfang says: I did apologize then.
Rak'Symma says: Then I’m sorry for not seeing it as well.
Arthak Saurfang says: Okay. As for the azerite… I have been… since Highmountain, since our encounter with Dargrul, I have been in conversation with Azeroth.

Symma’s brow furrowed.

Arthak Saurfang says: The magics I use draw from the giants of Draenor. The Breakers. I have suspicion the giants of your world share common lineage with mine.
Rak'Symma says: The Keepers.

Arthak nodded.

Arthak Saurfang says: I communed with her that day. And since then, she and I have… she has granted me insights. Gifts of knowledge. I think when I reached out to her, something of the magic in my blood felt familiar, and she reached back. I’ve been studying it in my own time.
Rak'Symma says: Does she speak with you?
Arthak Saurfang says: Not with words. She knows my name. She knows… me.
Rak'Symma says: If you have a connection to her, Arthak, I may be able to help you connect to her more. If that’s something you want.
Arthak Saurfang says: I appreciate the offer. But my only hesitation is she is young. Not by our reckoning, but by the reckoning of what she is. I would not want to… push too hard. Not with her.
Rak'Symma says: I understand your hesitation, but I’d like to think she’d like to know we are on her side. That we are here for her. I’m sure she already knows, but hearing it is different. Especially given most of her Keepers seem to be gone.
Arthak Saurfang says: Let me ask her first. In my way, I guess.
Rak'Symma says: I only offered in hopes of making a clearer line of communication.
Arthak Saurfang says: I know. And I appreciate it. I just…. Don’t want to scare her.
Rak'Symma says: Of all the trials she has face, I don’t think this one would.

Arthak said he would rather ask all the same, And Symma confirmed it was

Arthak opted to sit back and meditate that evening as he reached out to Azeroth. As he wafted in the darkness, he got fading memories. Strange, porcine humanoids laying out offerings to their mother, and he got the sense that Azeroth was no stranger to their voices, and though she was lonely in some sense, she was also everywhere and she heard everyone that walked upon her surface.

He saw Symma there as well, as if the harpy was seeking a similar guidance.

The party, sans Rak’Symma, went to meet with the info broker, Arluin, and after jumping through some meeting hoops, they finally met him at the designated meeting place, courtesy of arrangements made by Vanthir. Arluin was intrigued by such an eclectic group.

Nyxxa handed over the arcwine they had brought as payment, and Arluin was surprised to see it was more than his normal fee.

Arthak Saurfang says: Since you’re already aware of our social circle, it should not be hard to piece together our interests and where they may lie.
Arluin says: A fair assumption. As things are concerned now that the third representative in the upcoming election found himself bereft of his capabilities of being a part of it, it goes without saying that only one of two people will rise to the position. That said, even with the balance readjusted, talk of the town seems to indicate it’ll be a close race if one doesn’t tip the scales one way or another. I can guarantee Stelleris is doing that, so it’s only fair to balance that.

They asked about the relationship between Ruven and Stelleris, and Arluin said they were incredibly close and had attended the same school and if they had been of the appropriate proclivities they likely would have been arranged together. Nyxxa asked if it was possible to spin the story at the warehouse as Ruven doing a favor for Stelleris, and Arluin confirmed it was very easy, as Ruven was a people pleaser.

Arluin mused on that potential and offered some angles they could use, and Arthak asked for Arluin’s opinion as to which would stick the best. He admitted the one where Stelleris was the mastermind was the most in character, that he had set Ruven up for the fall. However, they needed something that would be a satisfying setup. Arthak asked if Stelleris being seen a dupe would provoke him, and Arluin confirmed it likely would, as the suggestion of him having such a huge leak that would result in such a catastrophic failure would require there to either be a huge problem, or someone was smearing his name.

Arthak offered two potential political cartoons, one with Ruven in the upper position and one with Stelleris. Arluin said the Ruven one was more humiliating, while the other was more believable. Arthak asked who they should focus on, and Arluin believed it was the public, which meant the believable one.

Arluin gave them some addresses to leave any further comics at, and he seemed pleased with the direction things were heading.

Arthak stated Arluin seemed to have known them and he requested that, given they were maintaining a business relationship, he asked they be informed who was asking after them. Arluin asked if that meant people that priorly asked.

Arthak Saurfang says: Good faith gestures, my friend. They be given, as well as rewarded.
Arluin says: I’d be willing to, I think, after all an orc like you would strike the most interesting silhouette. There have been some looking for you. Other orcs.

Arluin said that he was looking forward to what was coming in the future, as ultimately while some did not like change, it promised interesting times for himself.

Arluin says: Though I have to say, there was once a time when looking up and seeing the night sky was a wonderful thing. But… there has been a sparsity of dusk lilies nowadays. A shame, that.

Arthak squinted, and Nyxxa and Sol also noted the strange turn of phrase. They saw a deep anger behind his facade of being an information broker, and this was a man that would have been aware of the disappearance of Thalyssra, and he seemed to be fishing for information, but he was doing it in a way that implied he likely wanted in.

Sol'chi says: It’s true. Though I’ve heard they are growing wild and strong outside.
Arluin says: That’s good to hear. Nature really does find a way, doesn’t it?

Sol also said if he didn’t want to go snowblind, a friend of his was selling something that would help. He offered some sol shades, and Arluin smirked and thanked him as he slipped them on, and he said he might go for a walk near the Lunastre estate to see if he could get a glimpse of a dusk lily.

As schemes ramped up, Arthak and Sol were able to create a final copy of the political cartoon they had in mind, and Sol ramped up the magical printing press magic ([Fabricate]) to make them in large supplies.

Seria then recruited various birds to drop the fliers around while others were left off at the drop off points and Nyxxa left piles of them at several gigs she was working out. She went to one gig that was a birthday party for someone named “Ash”. The woman that greeted her asked how she was with cats, and Nyxxa eagerly responded she was her most favorite thing in the world.

The woman asked if she really meant that, and Nyxxa confirmed it. The woman took her hands and said she was so glad that she was there.

She opened the door and Nyxxa was greeted with an entire room filled with cats, some of which had party hats on. One, a black mana saber, was sitting in a chair and looked like it had given up.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: He’s called Ash because he looks like he’s covered in ash??

The woman confirmed tearfully that he looked like he was covered in ash. Nyxxa then spent the rest of the party entertaining the cats. Nyxxa introduced the woman to Mischief as well, and Mischief was in absolute hell given the sheer amount of cats in the room. However, the woman was absolutely enamored with her, and she told Nyxxa each and every story of each and every cat.

December 24th

Reydan Duskmere was invited to the Lunastre estate so that he could be apprised of the situation. He was greeted by Symma, in Anarys’s disguise, and Nyxxa, and he said that he was glad to see them and he wanted to make sure Anarys was doing alright.

Rak'Symma says: Reydan, I wanted to apologize.
Reydan Duskmere says: For what?
Rak'Symma says: For deceiving you. You said kind things that weren’t meant for my ears.

Symma took off her mask, and she revealed her true form.

Reydan Duskmere says: What!?
Rak'Symma says: I am fine. Anarys is also fine. They weren’t… there.

Reydan’s hand had gone to his blade.

Reydan Duskmere says: It was you. Who are you? What are you?
Rak'Symma says: My name is Rak’Symma. I’m an avianrae or a harpy. Neither of which you’ve heard of.

He looked at Nyxxa.

Reydan Duskmere says: You knew about this?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I did. When your brother in his schemes asked me to help him kidnap Anarys… that’s when things went into motion. In truth, we have been scheming against him for some time. I too owe you an apology for lying to you.
Reydan Duskmere says: So they entire time you were there it was to spy on my brother?

Nyxxa nodded. Reydan looked at Symma.

Reydan Duskmere says: Why Anarys?
Rak'Symma says: A much longer story. Anarys has been informed. Every day. They know.
Reydan Duskmere says: They’ve been here the entire time.
Rak'Symma says: I needed a way to maneuver around the city without gaining too much attention.
Reydan Duskmere says: I should be furious.
Rak'Symma says: You’d have every right.
Reydan Duskmere says: But you saved my life. Both of you did.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: My regret was that you got pulled into this.
Reydan Duskmere says: What is this? Why are you doing any of this? Ruven is dead!
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: Because the Legion cannot succeed, because if they do, that means the end of our world.
Reydan Duskmere says: So there are more Ruvens out there…

Nyxxa nodded, and Reydan sighed.

Nyxxa Murkthorn says: They will do everything in their power to see men like that empowered to further their own goals.

Reydan shook his head.

Reydan Duskmere says: I want to see them. I want to see Anarys. The real Anarys.
Rak'Symma says: They’ve been worried about you…
Reydan Duskmere says: The last thing they need to worry about is me. Especially given everything.
Rak'Symma says: We don’t make a choice in what people choose to worry about.

Reydan was regarding them with caution as he didn’t know how to take in all this information. He knocked on Anarys’s door, and he alerted them it was him. They heard Anarys curse but then they opened the door and let him in.

They entered the room to talk, and Nyxxa and Symma opted to give them privacy. Nyxxa asked Symma if she trusted them, and Symma said that she had done all she could, and whatever would happen, would happen.

After a bit, the door opened and Reydan stepped out. He took a deep breath.

Reydan Duskmere says: They told me how this all went down. What’s been going on. And you’re right, everything you said checked out. I don’t know… I don’t know what they are going to do. But I know what I’m going to do. You said there are more people like Ruven. People that would let these demons tear families apart. What do I do?
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: We can start by having a discussion.

She dropped her disguise, and Reydan blinked, recognizing her from various wanted posters.

Reydan Duskmere says: Shit.
Nyxxa Murkthorn says: I’m very good at hunting demons.

That evening, Rak’Symma rejoined Arthak to open up a connection with Azeroth via the [Commune] spell. Nyxxa also joined so she could watch. They went to a rocky, craggy clearing using Symma’s magic so they were outside the city.

Symma set down a few shiny rocks and tapped her staff so she could create a nice lush area for them to sit on. Meanwhile, Arthak pulled out drugs to use as “spiritual aids” to open up his mind. He added azerite dust to it. Rak’Symma also asked to partake.

Arthak lit the pipe and it started to actively spark blue and gold. He took a puff and handed it to Symma, who took a puff, and actively started to cough. But then she took Arthak’s hand and together they let blood into a bowl as she used the spell.

They both had an extreme sense of vertigo, and falling. Symma grabbed for Arthak and could not find him. But then they got the sense that they needed to open up their eyes.

Once they did, they saw each other, and also a vast, bright light and a warmth that seemed to sing. Before them, they saw a massive, scintillating mass of fire.

Arthak heard his name whispered through the air, and there were many questions to ask. He reflexively activated his giant’s might, and grew to his huge size.

Arthak Saurfang says: Hello, little one.

There was a soft joy that resonated through his being. The words that came were not words as he understood them, but part of her was within him. He had taken on something that might help with the translation. It was a laugh.

Because from her perspective she wasn’t the little one. Symma laughed quietly and thanked her for fostering the ground they walked and the trees that grew and the skies she loved.

They saw scintillating images. Vistas. Sunsets. A thousand beautiful scenes. But there was also a warm appreciation, a thank you for them being a part of it.
